scmn | FWIW not all KEI stores charge the same for each part.
I ordered a ROPS kit last year for my 3020 there are over $50 variation between several of the KEI locations. All were above cost and I pointed out that Deere has a policy to sell ROPS at cost to encourage use of ROPS; the parts guy at the one store looked and found the note in parts system and lowered price to cost per Deere instructions. Needless to say I drive past one KEI store to buy at another that has better pricing. They should be able to have the same price at every store. Last time I checked gates cost the same at Fleet Farm in Rochester, Owatonna, and Mankato, why dealers cannon follow suit is beyond me. Ask the parts guy and they will tell you freight is different for every store; I would understand if the store that was further from the parts distribution center was charged more freight vs the closer store, but it is usually the opposite. | |
