DEFINITELY keep the weight over the axles. I know when I haul grain in my hopper bottom I just fill the front and back. I would never put any weight off the axles on a semi.


Uh, I'm pretty sure that whatever weight you put on a semi ends up on the axles one way or another...


To the OP, if you want 5' of deck space behind the tank, put it on that way. Its not a lifetime commitment, the tank can be moved later if needed, and you might want a little more of that big tank's weight up on the tractor axles anyway. 34,000# directly over the trailer axles doesn't give you much room to stay legal.
