My Phantom 3 has been nagging about updates since December 2015.
You can safely ignore them if not tempted by DJI's (mostly) trivial refinements.
However make sure your app can't auto update if not going for it - it's mis-matches that can cause problems eventually.
Not dropping out of sky usually.
