Subject: What Max Dry Yield Rate You've Seen On Your Monitor?

I'm curious what the max flow rate people see on their yield monitors, and what sustainable rate you feel you can cut without excessive losses out of the back of the combine. I've spent the year cutting 20 bushel/ac wheat and recently picking up proso millet with even worse yield, but laying in a 50 ft wide swath at least. I'm harvesting with a CIH 2388 and about the max number I have seen is around 1000bu/hr, but with the way I have the combine set up I think anything over about 5-700 bu/hour has resulted in unacceptable losses.

So how obout some of you guys that have cut good yielding wheat or corn. Where do you think your combines max out in bu/hr before losses force you to slow down? This is my first year with a monitor in my combine. It would have been more fun to have had some good crops to harvest.

John
