We have in floor heat in the basement of the house
very nice even heat
They say if you hit a line that you an patch them you can located them buy using a stethascope listen for the pulse
I would still pu an air handler or spacce heater of some kind in shop if the floor is at 50 and you want to heat up the shop a spae heater would take over till the floor caught up
