I burnt out the motor going from my wet bin to my dryer, it's 8x35. It had a 10 hp 3 phase motor on it. Is a 8 inch auger big enough to feed a 1000 bushel per hour dryer? The auger seems to really labor with the wet corn, 24%.
Should I put a 15 hp on it so it doesn't work so hard or get a bigger auger also?
