Subject: RE: VR Seeding Soybeans

Brookston, IN
After a couple of years of strip trials and VR attempts this is how I wrote my Rx for 2017. We are on 15" rows, using beans treated with, fungicide, insecticide, & nematicide.

On well drained, productive soils - 105K
Well drained slightly less productive - 115K

not as well drained, productive - 125K
not as well drained slightly less productive - 135K

low productive ground - 145K

Sand ridges - 165K

I have seen little difference between 80K and 110K on the good ground and will have strips again this year trying to go lower.
Our typical issue is white mold, however in 2016 Phytophthora stem rot hammered us.
