Subject: RE: Redrying Peanuts after rain with a Lifter

West Texas

It will get you back in the field a day earlier if not more if you do run it.

Here is what we run after a rain or if we have to dig when it's wet.

Rod weeder 1

And here an action shot:

rod weeder running.

Can't run it when the peanuts are dry and no dew, it will knock off peanuts. No more then a fluffer will though.

So far we've run every acre dug once with the rod and about 350 acres twice already.

About 2" of rain on 700 acres of peanuts nearly 2 weeks ago now. Moisture on them today was 11.7%. They will go tomorrow but we still have a few hundred acres to dig.

Those still in the ground have no vines left, freeze got them 2 days ago. Will dig tomorrow and get them all up and pray it won't freeze too soon. Will need 3 days with sun and wind and lows above 40.
