Don't know what the break even would be because most seed is the same price in paper as it is in bulk. Even with a discount I think the true value to a seed tender is the time it saves to keep the planter running more hours in a day.

I know most people are happy with what they own, that said, the Unverferth tender we bought last year with a belt conveyor is considered by everyone on the farm as one of the best things we've ever purchased. More than one neighbor has looked at it and wished they had one like it. The conveyor is controlled with hydraulics, Honda motor starts every time, belt conveyor cleans out completely and handles seed gently. Works better than we ever thought it might.

Another thing to consider in the future is will your dealer continue to handle bagged seed or will it all be "bulk" at some point in the future? I know a lot of dealers have even passed over the bulk bags and putting in true bulk hopper bottom bins.

Just something to think about.
