Running Windows Defender on Win7 and paid Malwarebytes. No troubles for several years. Our IT guy recommends this for all his clients.
I run SpyBot and CC cleaner on occasion, just to clear out old caches.
For this truncated a list of needs I would suggest running Ubuntu and with some security settings on your router your need for paid anti-virus, anti-malware, anti-anything will drop dramatically!
As well your computer won't be talking to M$ multiple times a day and eating bandwidth to satisfy M$ need to control you! |
