Claremont,MN | I am working on setting up a network to my farm and would like to be able to access the network from the tractor(markets and weather) and also connect another site about a mile away. I have a silo about 90 ft tall at the middle of the farm that I am thinking about putting a omni directional antenna on, then would put directional antennas in the house and at other site. what would I need for a antenna for the laptop in the tractor(or could a PDA work for that instead of the laptop). every thing would be able to be line of site. what hardware do I need as far as access points, routers or bridges. how much gain would be required for the antennas. do the omni directional antennas only send the signal out sideways or do they send the signal out in all directions (toward ground). thanks for all your help | |
