NC South Dakota | I have a small field that isn't fun farming. (surrounded by pasture now)
Signed up for an NRCS deal that they will pay to plant warm season native grasses.
Original plan was to seed grass this spring, but there was some Kentucky Bluegrass that survived we found this fall.
Not going to risk a replant so NRCS was fine pushing it off a year.
Planning on planting broadleaves and hitting it with Select to take out the grass.
I MIGHT have enough RR1 soybean seed that i could use, so roundup could be added to the chemistry.
Anything else I could plant relatively cheap (<$15 acre) that would be better for grazing?
Thanks
