Greene County, Illinois

Not so much short or long day corn, but heat units to pollination.  I always preferred earlier pollinating corn because it is further along when the moisture finally runs out.  Same way with soybeans. Only one or two years out of ten do I get those August rains everybody talks about.  Very seldom do class IV beans out yield my earlier varieties.
