| the 6000 is the Edsel of tractors. These tractors were kind of oddball in the first place and are fast approaching 50 yrs old. Even if you found a dependable working specimen it would still be a crap shoot.
Very few people actually know how to work on those SOS trannies, even if parts would be available. Which is quite questionable. As a Major owner I'm not impressed that CNH (Fiat) cares too much about parts support for old iron.
IMO if you have your heart set on blue you'd be better off forgetting the 6000 and look for a decent 5000 with a conventional transmission. | |
