Don't even need the foam.
6" tile, split lengthwise, put over the bats..... and go combining. Friction and the "spring" of the tile will hold it in place usually. Otherwise a few zip ties, at the ends is all it takes.
Will still get wraps occasionally, but only where the bats go through the supports if the plastic tile isn't cut to fit the "full" length.
