Subject: Noticed slow reel spds on combines around decatur

As I was driving down around decatur and springfield (IL) I noticed the guys combining beans were running the reel very slow. Instead of 25% faster than the ground speed it looked more like 50% less than the ground speed. These were newer JD combines if that matters. Is this the newest thing to help with header loss? I don't think I can run my 1020 reel that slow and expect to get anything near even feeding (at least that's what it looks like).

Thanks,

Pat
