Manitoba | mennoboy, just a word of caution. what works everywhere else in the world does not necessarily work here in Manitoba. provincial regulations regarding gas are "interesting" here, at least once they get through all channels until they hit the real world. best case scenario would be if you know a gas fitter that actually has the ability to "think". otherwise get your head wrapped around the fact that you know nothing and "you can't do that". creative thinking has no place and is not allowed here. we must be protected from ourselves at all costs.
if pricing between companies be sure to have in the agreement that the price you make the deal on is all in and finished and approved so any and all gas approval certifications are not your headache. even with that it can be fun.
or an alternate solution is just visit someone else who has had one put in and just peel the little approval sticker off there dryer and put it on yours. then all is well. they really like stickers.
