Subject: Kenworth T800 Problems

Edmonton, Alberta
Picked up an auction sale T800 recently that has numerous issues. If anyone could address any of my problems that would be great.

1) Harsh ride. It has KW 8 bag but rides worse than a rubber block, kinda jarring. Inflate/deflate works okay, looks like it rides at the correct height. Is there any adjustment besides height?

2) Engine warning light comes on, both caution and stop. Can't find it with the diagnostics switch but am pretty sure it is hot engine oil. Alarms seem to trigger when oil temp gets over 200. Engine fan works okay, both manual and automatic when water temp gets around 208. Rad looks pretty clean.

3) Shifter is pretty sloppy, 18 speed. Bolt holding the shifter is tight. If I pop the tranny top cover plate off, will I find any easy fixes there?

That's a few of my immediate concerns. It's only got 600,000 miles and I'd like to get it into better driving condition.
