The 5034 has a 34" wide chain. The compost I am spreading is about like the potting soil your wife would buy for planting flowers in except heavier. If a 3020 will spread litter this compost would be easy to spread. Currently I am hiring the spreading done with a 5034 but am considering buying my own spreader.
