I think on the brownbox, it would stay the same from field to field. The GS2, if you have new fields, new process, etc, you need to tell it what variety (if you don't have locater). I have noticed that if you pick half the field and come back to it, it will revert to the variety you were on. Same goes for planting. I'm guessing it's an Apex thing. Have you downloaded 2.1 yet?
