Subject: RE: how to recalibrate yield data on GS2, after harvest

From the Apex User Guide page 208 http://stellarsupport.deere.com/en_US/support/pdf/ApexUserGuide.pdf

Chapter 19: Calibrating Harvest Data

Post Calibration

Crop yield is a calculated value. Calibration is performed to ensure that the
moisture sensor data and the operator input are properly used by the mapping
system to produce a final output in units of bushels per acre (or kilograms per
hectare).

Calibrating your combine ensures accurate data for your mapping system.
However, if you complete calibration after harvesting a few fields, or even
midway through a field, your maps will show yield variations due to a revised
calibration factor rather than a trend in the field. Harvest data collected after
calibrating will reflect the new calibration factor while data that was collected prior
to the calibration will be based off of the old calibration factor.

You can fix this variation by using the post calibration feature in Apex. There are
two ways to post calibrate the yield.
> Calibrate by Field Totals.
> Calibrate by Harvest Date.
