Subject: RE: Still problems 2577

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
I haven't actually personally done this but I am told that there a large metri-pak connector hidden in the cab somewhere for this purpose. It is my understanding that it may be hard to find but that it is there. This connector is fairly large (why so large I don't know), is gray in color and has five wires and pins.

This connector is the reverse sex of a similar connector that is used on the older (23XX) combines.

An adapter cable is used that has a 5 pin metri-pak mate on one end to connect to the combine harness and has a 9 pin and two pole weatherpak connector on the other end. The 9 pin goes to a GPS receiver for the GPS information. The two pole weatherpak is available for power/ground to the GPS.

We have made these cables and they are also available from Ag Leader. I would think that the combine dealers would have knowledge of this also.

The EZ-Guide+ should hook to this cable. The EZ-Guide+ would need to be configured properly to output the proper messages etc. to the combine.
