Fargo, ND
I've used FieldLevel for landlevelng and field ditching. You can use it like a laser setup.

The AutoPlane function allows you to survey a field border and interior. It will then give you a best fit design. You can then modify the grades if necessary. Autoplane allows you to insert one section line so you can split a surveyed field into two parts for a better design.

Multiplane offers many more options. You can split a field into many pieces and connect them by hinge lines or section lines. With it you can do a more sofisticated landleveling design to minimize the amount of dirt to move.

Contour mode is used to mark contours on a field. I think this is for marking rice levies on a contour. It gives you left or right guidance to keep you on a constant elevation.
