I have to laugh as well at a 12 day drought as these I state comments on what we should be doing last year. Or how stupid we are for the tillage and cultural practices we follow and how we are doing it all wrong.
It's not uncommon for us to plant a crop and go 6-8 weeks without a single drop of rain or irrigation. Or plant a crop and get zero rain or irrigation and still harvest a crop and not have to rely on insurance.
