Arkansas | I've used Yield Editor software from USDA-ARS and have greatly appreciated the advantages of being able to use prior information and trial/error techniques to get the flow delay just right. My experience is that applying the proper flow delays is crucial especially if the yield data is used to compare on-farm research treatments. I've processed data from numerous farmers and most crops from Canada and the US; and have documented different flow delays within the same field, harvester, machine operator. The point is, there is no "one size fits all" for the flow delays, start/end pass delays, etc. In addition, Yield Editor gives opportunity to change a total of 11 parameters including a "smooth velocity" parameter that identifies yield points taken when the harvester is changing velocity (speeding up or slowing down) by more than an allowable threshold.
Yield Editor can be found at:

or if it gets moved, try Googling "ARS Yield Editor"
