IA | Built a RTK survey rover today. Uses an agleader 6500 receiver with digifarm beacon and a LG G3 android phone.
I bought all the pieces (the pole, ram mount for the phone and the battery to power everything) from Amazon and I built the wire harness myself.
The ntrip software that connects to the Digifarm network is from Lefebure. The Digifarm app will do the same thing but the Lefebure app has some extras like a tape measure, grade and grid modes.
So the phone supplies the cell connection to the beacon which is setup to send and receive corrected data from the GPS receiver. The phone is also setup to take the corrected GPS data and supply it to any other app on the phone via a mode called mock GPS. Then I use another app called planimeter to take multipoint measurements.
Going to use this for measuring tile line distances and grade and anything else that comes to mind.
