By the way, the nearest decent motels are in Amite and Covington, LA. They have several good restaurants in the Covington and Mandeville, LA area. They also have a country restaurant about 8 miles east of Franklinton with a great all you can eat Thursday, Friday and Saturday night seafood buffet. You can expect boiled shrimp, boiled crayfish, grilled shrimp, fried shrimp, fried frog legs, fried oysters, fried catfish, grilled catfish, seafood gumbo, good salad bar and a few other items. They will also have fried chicken strips if you do not like good food! | |
