Mid Mo | It was that time of year - the State FFA Convention.
It had been 35 years since I had attended. Quite a difference I must say........ or is it that as I age a little I appreciate things a little more? I attended to watch my youngest son get his State Degree (State Farmer for the seasoned folks). I am very proud of his hard work and willingness to stick to it. He graduated last year but wanted it and kept working to obtain it. His HS advisor stayed in contact, encouraged, and helped where he could.
My wife had never attended and was surprised at the activities. The announced attendace was a little over 9200 and the smoothness of how things ran was incredible. We heard the VERY BEST speaker either of us had ever listened to with a message for young and old alike.
With my observations of tonight, I feel there is still a lot of hope for agriculture and America!! | |
