Bloomington and Putnam IL | We liked going Benton Harbor Michigan and usually did a day's charter fishing while we were there (have a beach and a nice downtown with good shops and ice cream also). My son and I still like to go to Gaston's in Lakeview Arkansas at least once a year and fish in the backyard (river and a bass pond) and also do a day or two guided float trip while we are there although my wife and daughter aren't big Arkansas fans. Food at Gaston's is AWESOME. Wife wasn't a big fan of the family fishing trips and bought us a place on the lake instead. Lots of work for me but have some monsters in the backyard....
