we had one years ago for cultivating potatoes like already said you can make them aggressive enough to hill potatoes the faster you go the more dirt they will throw. only problem we had was trying to keep them from twisting once you get it set and doing a perfect job we put a tack on them to stop from turning. they should do a good job doing what you want to do. I think we got a 8 row out back yet if you ever need parts and cant find any were along ways away but if ever needed get ahold of me good luck post some pics once you get it going
