You make a strong point.  When my Dad passed last year, there were a handful of photos form the 30's and 40's as he was growing up, and then just a few of the "married with kids" years as you mentioned.. Since the digital age came about, with good cell phone cameras and all that, I probably had taken a hundred over the past 8-10 years of mostly farm stuff, some of him with my kids, my wife had taken some of me and him, etc.. Our local funeral chapel has flatscreens mounted in the corner of the rooms and they will take all the printed and digital photos you give them and make a revolving slideshow so people can sit and watch as they want.. it's a really nice touch.  Gives families stories to tell to visitors and we even had a few laughs that evening with some folks, made it a little easier.
