I know nothing about the old Pyrex, but the new stuff should be left on the store shelf. It is made near here & since "new" owner took over, they have remove boron from the glass. Hey! Money in their pocket! Consumer Reports did an investigation after members were complaining of disasters of having new bakeware explode in ovens. YUP!! no boron!
