southern MN | Different sport, but years ago there was quite a hulabalu at a Twins baseball game. It was hotdog day of all days, fans were tossing hotdogs on the field at players. It was getting out of hand.
Coach Tom Kelly came out onto the field, and just motioned to the fans, calm it down, calm it down. He walked around the outside of the infield and just motioned, calm, calm.
The rest of the game went pretty well.
It was one of those moments, the umpire was getting ready to call the game, but one calm guy in charge got things settled some.
Wife is reading on the Cincinnati game right now, one fan is facing charges for peeing on and then fighting with an opposing fan. Yikes.
