E.Central MN | You have to remember that the people running the show at many farmers markets are the big growers and they don't want mom and pop farmers showing up and selling their extra produce (just to get rid of it) for half the price that the big growers are selling theirs for. Empty stalls mean less competition for them. I understand their point, they're in it to make a living, but it kind of goes against the idea of having a community market that is set up on public land.
