Not sure how that can happen doing a controlled catch rather than some kind of panic grab to avert disaster- if you do it in a sensible way your hands are nowhere near the props.
The Phantom 3 hovers extremely stable and you can safely grab the leg and shut off with the other hand.
The risk is probably less than it catching your leg during a bumpy ground landing.
