the 250 can use an EZ- Steer, however if you ever want to upgrade to AutoPilot you will have to purchase a new display. The 250 will not run AutoPilot. If I were going to purchase a lightbar, I would go 500, for the expansion possibilities. The 500 will run: EZ-Steer, EZ-Boom, & /or AutoPilot, with WAAS, Omni* HP/XP, or RTK. www.trimble.com
