Subject: RE: rootworm beetles

Purdueville, IL
I've been scouting in Livingston, Ford and Iroquois (up by Chebanse) for a couple of weeks now, and like rust doc I've been seeing them the whole time. Mainly in the refuge, but now just a few coming in the RW corn. Have not seen enough to be concerned about yet, even in a couple of all non-rw fields. Have seen some feeding in the beans as well.

Edit: Forgot to mention, scouting some about 20 miles east of St. Anne into Indiana....supposedly no rootworm in the sands there, scouting conventional corn that doesn't have insecticide on it, finding moderate levels of rootworm beetle there, something to watch for in the future...
