I just bought the tractor this past winter and I had the same question. The fella I bought it from said that it did less "tearing" of his rows and sod at the ends of the field with them backwards, and I will vouch for this reason too, sooooo much less hatter on the road with them. Smooth as could be at full speed. I have not really noticed any real difference in traction to be honest. The fun part (latter half that is) always seems to take forever especially on the first wagon. 288 bales. Takes forever to fill it, and even longer to empty it. I thought I had it bad til I saw my neighbor's 24' tandem wagon. Ridiculous, but it sure puts a dent in the field!!
