USA | $25 per bag doesn't seem like much of a penality for saving RR beans. Have been told by a fellow in the seed business that the payment by farmers who have got caught saving RR beans in most cases is not as bad as Monsanto propagandizes.
Kind of surprized that the COOP would have insurance to cover this type of liability.
I know of a case where a fellow got caught saving RR beans to supplement the ones he bought ( had tickets for 53 lbs per acre). He had to buy $1500 of Monsanto chemical.
I saw the end of the reprt on channel 5 news about this the other night. From what I saw, doubt if Monsanto is going to be real excited about spending a bunch of money to advertize with them.
