sw mn. | Marines, 1968-1970, trained in California, spent 365 days in Viet Nam most of that time at or around Chu Lai air base. was in and out before I was old enough to drink legally in Minnesota. Glad I did it but I think if they would have wanted me to go back there I would have moved to Canada. Once was enough. I enlisted but there were plenty of guys in my platoon that were drafted and 28-29 years old with wife and kids at home and it was very hard on them. Just thankful to come home healthy and sane. My brother also spent a year there and got busted up pretty bad in 1966. Thank you to all of you fellow veterans. Andy. | |
