Soldiers Grove Wi. 54655 | I remember seeing farmers shoot dairy calves in the head in protest and will say it was rather disgusting.. That said they were getting their point across... Also heard and saw trucks at the sale barn that had 1 calf in them and if they went in to see what they were selling for they'd come back out and have a dozen or more added to their pickup in a short period of time.. Other farmers would cut a couple of the teats off the heifer calves also to make sure they wouldn't end up in someone's milking herd a couple years down the road.. NFO had some strong minded backers but at the same time some of their larger producers did get caught having milk trucks coming in the middle of the night to get the milk that was supposed to have been dumped... Same person also threatened some of his neighbors they'd better be dumping their milk or their barn just might "light up" some night... Sad and desperate times... | |
