Subject: RE: Strip till question

Driftless SW Wisconsin

There has been shown to be a significant yield loss if you are off the "strip" in the original "mole-knifenh3-in-bean-stubble-in-the-fall-and-plant-over-the-slot-in-the-spring"  system as it started in central ILL years ago. Being a couple inches off of the fall-made mole knife slot in this system resulted in a dramatic drop in yield.

The above comments on SF1 and strip till guidance are highly variable depending on your terrain, field size and shape (straight vs curved rows), etc.
