You can't really compare Headline to Quilt because they are pretty much different in respect to the amount of active ingredients you are applying at the specified rates. And Quilt is Tilt/quadris which makes it a curative and preventative, where as Headline is only a preventative.

Headline at the 6 oz/acre rate is putting down .10 ibs a.i. of a strobilurin/acre

Quilt at the 14 oz/acre rate is putting down .067 ibs a.i. of a strobilurin/acre and .113 ibs a.i. of Tilt/acre

So headline by itself is almost twice the amount of strobilurin/acre than Quilt. Syngenta had to cut the strobilurin rate in Quilt to make it comparative in price.

I would only compare Headline to Quadris since they are comparable strobilurins but different chemistry.

I agree with you that Headline and Quadris will stop GLS coming up the plant if the top of plant has not been infected yet.
