| If he did that he basically floored it. The auctioneer can start where ever he wants to get the crowd going but if he bid $4k it will bring at least $4k. Might be a few "phone bids" to get there but they will get there. If you go to a Sullivan land auction they will start the sale off and if they know they have a $9k farm they start out at $7000 ish then back down to under $5k. Then the guy that brought his wife and the guy that took his 10yr old kid out school, and Dad out of the home to go to the sale, they get there hearts pumping. And when they hit that "magic number" BOOM there is 4 ringmen that all have "the bid" back to $8k in a flash then the 2 that came to buy the farm in the first place fight out the last round. Those Sullivan boys are as good as there is, fun to watch. | |
