Subject: Disk rip or moldboard plow old hayfield?

WC Illinois
Got a little 5ac hayfield that I'm going to put in silage corn next year. Not much left in it but a little orchard grass and alfalfa/white clover. Will I be happy with the kill if I hit it with the ripper while we are doing our stalks or is it a good reason to get the old 3 bottom plow out?
