| Some places still sell the Tigermate as the DMI brand.... check around, you might find one.
I certainly wouldn't worry about needing too many parts for a field cultivator.....keep some shanks and springs on hand and maybe a wheel bearing and you should be fine. If it's more serious than that, you'll probably be going to the local welding shop anyway.
We have a TMII. It's a 48.5' that we pull with the Blue equivalent of your tractor. The thing pulls pretty hard, so if I had to do over, I would probably get about a 44.
Personally, I think the DMI will leave a better seedbed than the JD, but the JD is good also. DMI has a semi floating hitch -- but we have some pretty rolling fields and haven't ever had a situation where we wished it had a totally floating hitch like the JD. I also think that the DMI is better built for adverse use and longevity. We have a JD 2410 chisel plow as my basis for comparison. | |
