Advice on buying used CaseIH flex head. Never owned one before.

We once had a CIH1020 30' on our 2188.
My advice would be to go with a 925 or 930 Deere.
Built much heavier
Cleaner cut
Cuts closer to the ground = more yield= more $$$
You can get adapters to adapt. I would recommend a Bisch adapter plate. Order from Harv's Supply. Google Bisch adapters

Used Flex heads:
Check underside for steel and poly skid plate wear. Bent carrier arms. Knife and guard condition. Auger floor. Look for wear at the feeder house opening.
One can spend alot of $$$ on a flex head in a hurry.
