If you are trying to harvest corn silage, it won't feed very well. If you are copping dry corn stover it may work. I have experience with a 4 row "stalker" head, which is a non converging head similar to a 653, the auger wouldn't feed worth a damn. Lots of slugging of the cutterhead.
