If you want to be comparable to a pto drive pump. On houle tanks the impeller is different for hydraulic drive (straight impellers instead of curved. I'm doing ok using a terragator that drives a really big pressure compensated pump (like what's in a tractor) to drive a pretty big motor (probably what you have). Physical size doesn't always tell the story but the pump I use is larger than anything I've seen in a tractor. Bottom line is unless you have a really high output hydraulic system, pto is the way to go. I'm using hydraulic because it's a better fit for the terragator and I'm using a TG because it will take longer to rust in to a pile of junk than my tractor was.
