I don't have cattle, but if I did, I'm pretty sure no friend of mine would let his dogs kill my calf unless he compensated me for it every time it happened. By compensate I mean he would dispose of the dead calf, buy me an equal value replacement and deliver it, or pay for the loss I would incur which would mean future profit on said calf.
Even though dead calf was replaced you are asking also for future profit on dead calf? Is this punitive damages also? |
